University of Greenwich ready for new-normal

The pandemic has significantly increased the significance and attention we devote to both our own and public health by disrupting the traditional order of our lives. The “new normal” is characterized by a multitude of perspectives regarding appropriate behavior. However, education is one of the most concerning topics, as it is at the core of social life. The University of Greenwich, located in the United Kingdom, has recently published a new video that provides guidance and tips on the university experience in September. The video also informs viewers on how they are preparing for the transition to the “new normal” order.

The school, which was established in 1891 as Woolwich Polytechnic, has three faculties in the cities of London and Kent, England. Over time, it has merged with the Hammersmith College of Art and Building and adopted the name Thames Polytechnic. In 1992, it was granted university status and renamed the University of Greenwich through collaboration with various colleges and institutions.

Entry requirements for students in Turkey

  • To be eligible for undergraduate programs, applicants must have completed high school and obtained a minimum of 70% of the school’s overall score by the end of the year. Certainly, the entry requirements may differ based on the program you wish to pursue. You may be required to submit a portfolio and participate in an interview for certain departments. Additionally, in order to demonstrate your proficiency in the English language, the minimum IELTS score may differ depending on the desired departments. However, in general, the minimum IELTS score is 6, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.

In addition, while there is a request for a score that may vary from department to department, such as an IELTS score, general scores of 6.5 or higher are anticipated.
  • Before submitting an application for a PhD, it is advisable to compile a list of potential supervisors at the University of Greenwich who specialize in your field and submit a strong research or thesis proposal. This includes maintaining strong academic performance at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
